ABERDEEN, S.D. – Artist Jay Hopkins’ “Reflection” exhibition will be on display in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery through Jan. 25.

A closing reception for the exhibition will be held in the JFAC Gallery from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Hopkins grew up on a farm east of Havana, N.D. She received her bachelor of fine arts degree at Minnesota State University-Moorhead in Moorhead, Minn. and her master of fine arts degree at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colo. Since then, Hopkins has been teaching art history courses and “The Art of Being Human” at Presentation College in Aberdeen as well as Art Appreciation at NSU. Hopkins has participated in the Emerging Artist Show at Fort Collins Museum of Modern Art, along with group art exhibitions at the Rourke Art Museum Gallery in Moorhead, Dacotah Prairie Museum in Aberdeen and A. Jain Maranouchi Gallery in New York City.
