ABERDEEN, S.D. – Brandi Krueger’s senior art exhibition will be on display April 4-17 in Northern State University’s Lincoln Gallery.

The reception for her exhibition will be at 6 p.m. April 14 in the Lincoln Gallery.

Krueger grew up in Minnesota and North Dakota. She graduated from Wishek High School, N.D., in 2017. Her parents are Christina and Steven Krueger from Cozad, Neb.

Her art will feature paintings, drawings, digital art and printmakings from landscapes, nature and humanism.

“I love landscapes, nature, and humanism, says Krueger. “I try to make my art either as realistic as possible or something that would fit in a children’s book. The reason I do this is so people that see my art recall old memories that bring a smile to their face.”

Krueger is a Bachelor of Fine Arts major who studied under NSU art faculty members Peter Kilian, Peter Stevenson, Derek Decker, Alexis Doerr, Nadya Preszler, Sara Christensen Blair and Greg Blair.

She will graduate from Northern in May 2021. After graduation, she plans to take a year off to work and then try to get her master’s degree so she can teach at colleges.

“I chose to attend Northern because it had an amazing art program and it was close to home at the time.”
