ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University has ranked high in the country and state for its online international business degree on two educational websites.

On a couple of websites for 2021, Northern ranks high for the online bachelor’s degree in international business:

·According to Study.com, Northern ranks at No. 4 in the country as the best online bachelor’s degrees in international business.

·According to businessdegreecentral.com, Northern ranks at No. 1 Most Popular Online International Business Schools in South Dakota.

To determine the rankings, Study.com took "data from trusted, reliable sources, like the U.S. Department of Education, for areas like graduation rates, tuition costs, and student retention,” among other factors, to provide their results.

From businessdegreecentral.com, the ranking is determined by the number of online graduates.

An international business degree not only prepares you for an exciting global career; it also offers essential business background for students who’d like to continue their studies in foreign languages, global geography, government and more.

“NSU has offered the degree in International Business for nearly 3 decades. The degree program is a perfect fit for individuals who enjoy experiencing other cultures, travel and using and developing their foreign language skills,” said Dr. Doug Ohmer, dean of the NSU Schools of Business and Education. “Study abroad is encouraged and can be built into the completion of this degree program. The program not only includes business courses, but also courses in language, culture, geography and government. Because of the continuous increase in global trade, careers opportunities in this field are numerous and plentiful.”

Common career opportunities for graduates include foreign sales representative, international management consultant, translator, import/export agent, international financial manager and management analyst.
