ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Theater Department will hold auditions for “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” community choir on Sunday, Aug. 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Black Box Theater. “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” is a new musical based on the novel by Victor Hugo and the songs from the Disney animated feature.

NSU Theater plans to cast 32 members for the community choir. Auditions are open to all

“The roles are strictly singing – so if you love to sing, come join us,” mentioned Director Daniel Yurgaitis.

Rehearsals for the community choir will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. every Sunday until Oct. 5, when rehearsals will be held nightly, leading up to opening night on Oct. 18. Schedules for the show will be available to view at auditions. “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” runs Oct. 18-21 at 7:30 p.m. at the NSU Johnson Fine Arts Center.
