ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Symphonic Band and Concert Band will perform their “Band Extravaganza: A Musical Smorgasbord!” concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Main Theater.

The concert will feature a wide variety of band favorites.

Featured pieces being performed in the concert include “Mother Earth Fanfare” by David Maslanka, “Prelude Siciliano and Rondo” by Malcolm Arnold, “Washington Post March” by John Philip Sousa, “Dancing in Rain” by Yo Goto, and “Curtain Call” by John Wasson.

The NSU Concert Band is directed by Dr. Audrey Miller and the Symphonic Band is directed by Dr. Rolf Olson.

Tickets for the event are $5 for adults, $2.50 for NSU faculty/staff and free to NSU students with ID. Tickets can be purchased via the School of Fine Arts website or at the JFAC box office.
