ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University School of Fine Arts will hold its annual Band Clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center.

The clinic plays host to nearly 200 high school students with over 20 schools represented from Aberdeen and the surrounding area.

This year’s guest conductors include NSU’s very own Dr. Joelle Lien, associate vice president for academic affairs and graduate studies director, and Ms. Sara Weischedel from Holgate Middle School.

The day’s festivities will culminate in a concert at 3 p.m. in the Harvey and Cynthia Jewett Theater. This concert will feature two high school bands as well as the NSU Symphonic Band and Dominant 7 ensemble. The concert is free and open to the public.

For more information about the band clinic, please contact Dr. Rolf Olson, director of bands, at rolf.olson@northern.edu.
