ABERDEEN, S.D. – Bridget Solsaa’s senior art exhibition will be on display April 10-21 in the Northern State University President's Gallery.

Her opening reception will take place 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in the President's Gallery, located on the second floor of Spafford Hall.

Solsaa, the daughter of Joeleen and Michael Solsaa, grew up in Aberdeen, graduating from Central High School in 2009. She will be showing a variety of artwork – paintings, prints, photographs, and mixed media pieces.

Solsaa will graduate this spring with a BA in fine art and an emphasis in painting. She has studied primarily with Dr. Greg Blair, Sara Christensen Blair and Peter Kilian while at NSU.

“I chose Northern State University because it was a great college that was friendly and inviting, while also having the best of both worlds; attending college while also staying near family,” she said. “Post-graduation, I plan on feeling out the art world and plan on picking up some internships to build my resume. Down the road, I plan to attend graduate school to receive my master’s in fine arts.”
