Beginning Dec. 11, 2023, Northern’s Student Health Services will be provided at Avera St. Luke’s State Street Medical Square, 105 S. State St. With this, the Clinic in the Avera Student Center will close.

The change will allow Avera to better serve you with:   
                                                      
•    Guaranteed same-day appointments for Northern students.
•    Students will continue to receive discounted services.
•    Extended hours of 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
•    Availability of onsite services such as lab, imaging, vaccines, pharmacy, and more.
•    Quicker lab turnaround times.
•    Direct access to physicians.
•    Options for appointment times, as well as optional virtual visits.

To see a provider:

•    Call 605-225-0378 and select option number five.
•    An Avera employee will schedule your appointment and provide directions State Street Medical Square,105 S. State St. 
•    Please let the Avera employee know if you need transportation, and he or she will assist you.
•    Walk-in appointments will also be accommodated, but to ensure an efficient and timely visit, please schedule an appointment when possible.

Students visiting Avera for an appointment are required to bring their driver's license or identification card, health insurance card, and Pack Pass Mobile ID (Northern State University student identification card). 
In addition to providing a great experience to Northern State University students, Avera and Northern are confident the program will offer more comprehensive access to students in the future.
