  • ABERDEEN, S.D. — The Northern State University Athletic Department and United Way of Northeastern South Dakota are teaming up for the 24th Annual Day of Champions on Saturday, May 2.

    The Day of Champions began in 2002 as a collaborative service initiative between Northern and the United Way. Since then, more than 3,400 NSU student-athletes have completed over 292 community projects, totaling more than 22,200 volunteer hours — a value of approximately $394,316 in donated labor.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. — Northern State University is proud to announce that Becky Pribyl, director of financial aid, has earned the designation of Certified Financial Aid Administrator, known as the FAAC credential. The national certification recognizes Pribyl's expertise and commitment to the highest standards of federal student aid administration.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. — Northern State University partnered with the Huron Community Campus in Huron, S.D., to offer a hands-on workshop on ChatGPT and artificial intelligence tools to community members on April 8 and 15, drawing 43 participants from a wide range of career fields including education, law enforcement, banking and healthcare.
