  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Drs. Hannah Walters and Kristi Bockorny of the Northern State University School of Business have co-written a scholarly article that was recently published in the December 2018 issue of the e-Journal Business Education & Scholarship of Teaching (EJBEST).

    The article, titled “Relevance of General Education: An Assessment of Undergraduate Business Students,” was published in volume 12, number 3 of EJBEST.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – On Saturday, Dec. 8, 108 students will graduate from Northern State University at its 2018 winter commencement.

    The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in the NSU Johnson Fine Arts Center.

    Delivering the commencement address will be NSU Associate Professor of English Dr. Peter Ramey, Northern’s 2018 Outstanding Faculty Award winner. Saturday’s student speaker will be 2018-19 Student Association President Shanae Doerr.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – A proposed new master’s program in the Northern State University School of Business would fill a need in the regional workforce while setting NSU graduates apart from others in the accounting field.

    Northern’s Master of Accounting Analytics would differ from the traditional master’s degree in accounting because it would incorporate additional skills relating to audit and forensics, said NSU School of Business Dean Dr. Tim Mantz.   • ABERDEEN, S.D. –  Northern State University School of Business’ Dr. Kalyan Chakraborty was recently chosen as the recipient of the 2018 Atlantic Economic Journal’s (AEJ) Best Article Award for his article, titled “Measuring the Impact of Socio-Economic Factors on School Efficiency in Australia.”

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – A committee of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs has reviewed and accepted a Quality Assurance Report by the Northern State University School of Business.

    This acceptance by the ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners is an extension of the NSU School of Business’ 2016 accreditation with the organization.
