The Sports Management and Coaching & Leadership specializations within the Sports Administration and Leadership master’s program provide students with a strong foundation in organizational strategy, team leadership, and sport operations. Through relevant coursework in areas such as sports psychology, communication, and leadership development—combined with hands-on opportunities like coaching graduate assistantships—students gain the skills and experience needed to thrive in coaching, athletic administration, and leadership roles across all levels of sport.
The sports administration degree is designed to prepare you for dynamic careers in sports administration, business, and management by offering a comprehensive curriculum that meets the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) standards and the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
Our Master’s in Sports Sciences offers two dynamic specializations—Strength and Conditioning, and Biomechanics & Exercise Physiology—each designed to blend rigorous academic preparation with extensive hands-on experience. Students engage in coursework while applying concepts in state-of-the-art labs equipped with force plates, EMG sensors, GPS technology, and more.
Six of the 12 credits in this STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) certificate will apply to any of NSU's M.S.Ed. degrees, and all 12 credits would be applied to the M.S.Ed. in Educational Studies.
