ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University Interim President Dr. Laurie Nichols today announced the retirement of Veronica Paulson, Vice President for Finance and Administration. Paulson joined Northern in 1990 and has provided more than 35 years of dedicated service to the university, with strategic oversight of financial operations, facilities management, budgeting, and major capital projects. ABERDEEN, S.D. — On Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m., the Northern State University Music Department will present a jazz concert featuring Northern’s 2 p.m. Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Grant Manhart. The concert will take place in the Jewett Theater at the Johnson Fine Arts Center.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Students in Northern State University’s Prisons and Penology course recently participated in an educational tour of the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.
The trip was organized by Dr. Lucas Z. Wiscons, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences, with support from Dr. Elizabeth Haller, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of English. ABERDEEN, S.D. – Two Northern State University history students were recognized last spring by the Brown County Historical Society for their outstanding research papers submitted to the organization’s annual Historical Research and Writing contest.
