Opportunities

Northern Lights – An annual literary magazine produced by Northern students that showcases the creative work of all Northern students, alumni, faculty, staff, and Aberdeen community members. Northern Lights publishes stories, poems, essays, photographs, artwork, original music, and short films. For more information, contact Northern Lights faculty advisor Dr. Pen Pearson.

The Exponent – A bi-weekly student-run news publication that serves the university and surrounding community by providing reliable and relevant reporting of news, art and culture of interest to the students and employees of NSU. Provides real-world experience for students interested in pursuing a career in any area of English and/or mass communications. The Exponent is open to all students who apply and are accepted for a position with the publication. For more information, contact Exponent advisor Danielle Notz.

English Club – Offers a fun and relaxed group environment where those interested in reading, analyzing, and writing - as well as those interested in viewing films - can meet and exchange ideas related to those interests.
