  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University and the NSU Foundation will host the third annual day of giving, GiveNDay, on Wednesday, April 5.

    Also known as #OneDayOnePack, this 24-hour challenge is designed to inspire all supporters of Northern to come together to provide essential funding across the university.

    Last year’s event was a huge success, with the community raising $330,000 from over 1,800 donors. This year’s goal is to receive support from 2,500 donors in 24 hours.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University Bands will present “American Soundscapes” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Jewett Theater.

    The concert will feature performances by the Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. Audrey Miller; Percussion Ensemble, directed by Dr. Terry Beckler; Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Dr. Travis Netzer; and String Ensemble, directed by Dr. Christopher Stanichar.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University signed a teach-out agreement with Presentation College today to help students complete their degrees at Northern.

     

    Northern has been working toward an academic agreement with PC for quite some time, prior to Presentation’s recent announcement. Now, Northern has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to move forward with the agreement.

    ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Theatre Program will present the play "Eurydice" in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Black Box Theater.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University’s Dr. Nuurrianti Jalli has published a policy paper with the world-renowned public policy organization, the Brookings Institution.

    The paper, titled “Disinformation and Democracy in Malaysia,” was part of the Foreign Policy Democracy in Asia project, a collaborative effort by Jalli and fellow policy experts from around the world.
