  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Next week, Northern State University athletics opens the 2022-23 season with the Sept. 1 football opener versus Upper Iowa.

    The Wolves kick-off at 6 p.m. from Dacotah Bank Stadium. NSU volleyball opens their home slate at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 from Wachs Arena, while Wolves soccer hits the pitch for their first regular season home game at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 from the Athletic and Recreation Fields.

    This redesign provides a better overall experience for NSU alumni, donors and friends.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The South Dakota Board of Regents has unanimously approved an expanded alcohol sales policy for all regental universities, including Northern State University.

    The new policy, which will be in effect at the start of the 2022-23 school year, allows universities to expand alcohol sales to general admission areas of athletic events. Northern will implement this change at campus athletic events starting with home football games this fall.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University Director of International Programs Dominika Blum has been selected as a member of the 2023 Leadership South Dakota Class.

    This is the ninth class for Leadership South Dakota, a statewide program that helps homegrown leaders expand their knowledge of the state. Blum joins 42 other students this year—and is the first Northern employee to be selected for the program since it began in 2015.
