  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University will kick off its fall 2021 Noon Forums on Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Williams Library Round Room.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The creative skill of the Northern State University Art Department faculty is on full display this fall in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery.

    The Faculty Exhibition will be on display through Oct. 6, featuring work by Derek Decker, Alexis Doerr, Jay Hopkins, Peter Kilian, Jason Knowles and Nadya Preszler.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University will celebrate Constitution Day on Friday, Sept. 17.

    Constitution Day is the federal observance of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. Around Aberdeen all day, hundreds of U.S. flags will be displayed, courtesy of the Exchange Club. Across the Northern campus, students, faculty and staff will wear patriotic clothing, with workspaces decorated with a patriotic theme.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Aberdeen Area and Northern State University Job Fair will be held Wednesday, Oct. 20, on the Northern campus.

    The event, which is open to the public, will take place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in the NSU Barnett Center.

    Though typically held in the spring, the job fair has now been moved to fall.

    ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning was recently awarded a $61,660 grant from Knight Foundation’s Aberdeen Fund in the South Dakota Community Foundation to build a Pedagogy Lab in the Beulah Williams Library.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University is preparing to begin a new era of NSU Athletics with the opening of the on-campus Regional Sports Complex.

    The first athletic competition will be the Wolves Football home opener on Sept. 11, with kickoff at 6 p.m. in Dacotah Bank Stadium vs. Southwest Minnesota State. The stadium, along with Koehler Hall of Fame Softball Field, make up the sports complex, which is the final project of the Educational Impact Campaign.
