ABERDEEN, S.D. – A new memoir offers a first-hand account of a German man’s life under the Bolshevik Revolution – and it might never have been published without the work of Northern State University’s Dr. Ginny Lewis.

Lewis, NSU professor of German and literary scholar, translated “Flight from the Red Hell” into English. Now, the memoir – a tale of Heinrich Neuwirt’s survival amidst hardships such as famine and imprisonment – has been published by Peter Lang Publishing.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University saw growth in overall headcount this fall, particularly in graduate students, and experienced its fifth consecutive year with a freshman to sophomore retention rate above 73 percent.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A new exhibit on display in Northern State University’s Jewett Regional Science Education Center gives a look at epidemics throughout history.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A husband and wife musical duo will perform an upcoming concert at Northern State University.

Dr. Kenneth Boulton and JoAnne Barry will present a recital of music for piano four-hands at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Harvey and Cynthia Jewett Theater.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – A new partnership between Northern State University and Dacotah Bank will guarantee a personal interview for graduates of the NSU Banking and Financial Services program.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – An exhibition by a pair of Northern State University Art Department alums is currently on display in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery.
