  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Mason Winship has always loved to hunt, and continuing that pastime as a college student has been made easier thanks to the brand new game-cleaning room at Northern State University.

    “It’s really nice to have that for students that are not from around here,” said Winship, a freshman baseball player from Reno, Nevada.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Lauren Bittner has joined the Northern State University Foundation as marketing and development coordinator.

    Bittner will handle alumni relations, prospect research, special events and marketing for the Foundation.

    Bittner received a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management from NSU in 2012, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in management from the University of Mary in 2014. She previously worked for the NSU Foundation from June 2012 to March 2017.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The “Northern Lights: Celebrating Grieg, Vinje and Krerulf” festival of Norwegian music and poetry will be held in the Northern State University Krikac Auditorium Nov. 8-9.

    Two concerts, a lecture and a brown paper bag discussion will be held throughout the two-day festival featuring the NSU School of Fine Arts’ Drs. Darci Bultema and Marla Fogderud. Guest artists Paul Hindemith and Keith Teepen will also be a part of the festival.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Northern State University’s new Athletic and Recreation Fields.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. –  Northern State University School of Business’ Dr. Kalyan Chakraborty was recently chosen as the recipient of the 2018 Atlantic Economic Journal’s (AEJ) Best Article Award for his article, titled “Measuring the Impact of Socio-Economic Factors on School Efficiency in Australia.”

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University’s Dr. Tom Orr and Ms. Lori Bruns are receiving awards from the Society for Health and Physical Educators of South Dakota.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Dr. Steven Usitalo will speak at Wednesday evening's opening of the Great Plains Sociological Association Annual Conference on the campus of Northern State University.
